Solo classical guitar
Program notes:
spiral, stitch & float uses the smallest units of the Fibonacci sequence (1, 3, 5, 8, 13) as the foundation for a rhythmic dance. The asymmetric nature of the sequence creates a playful and lilting groove on which an ascending harmonic progression unfolds. The piece combines tricky, woven lines with floating overtones to create a colorful tapestry through the guitar’s sound.
